Founded in 1870, our mission is to improve the health and quality of life for children, young adults, and families with medical complexity and special healthcare needs. St. Mary’s is a national leader in healthcare for children with special needs and life-limiting conditions. St. Mary’s provides intensive rehabilitation, specialized medical care, and educational programs to nearly 4,000 children each day in the New York Metropolitan region and beyond through our inpatient, community and homecare programs.

After nearly two years of difficult COVID lockdowns, our organization is looking to bolster its community engagement efforts, while creating a supportive environment for the children and families of St. Mary's Hospital for Children. Our organization understands that community support is a vital component to the support structure we provide the families of St. Mary's as they navigate the daily challenges of medical complexities.

St. Mary's Hospital for Children will be hosting a free, annual community Halloween Event at our campus on October 23, 2022. We are anticipating roughly 150-200 people will be in attendance, including children and families of St. Mary’s, local community members, local schools, nonprofits and dignitaries. This event will allow our patients and their families to experience their own version of "trick or treating" and provide an opportunity for the community to see the amazing life changing work that is happening here every day. All funds raised at this event will go to vital programs and services for the children and families at St. Mary's Hospital.

We plan on raffling and auctioning off any items that are generously donated to help us raise addition funds to serve our mission. Thank you.
