On March 13, 2021 we will try our hand at hosting St. Thomas More Cathedral School’s first virtual auction, ​Fabulous Virtual Vegas.  ​With this new, far-reaching platform we anticipate exceeding our average of 200 guests and, with your help, hope to raise more than $100,000! 

The St. Thomas More Cathedral School (STM) is a nationally recognized Blue Ribbon School that has been providing educational excellence for over 75 years. We have a robust and dedicated community of parents, faculty, staff and parishioners – many of whom have sent generations through our school doors. Our over 400 Pre-K through 8th grade students come from more than 15 different zip codes in the National Capital area, including many military families. In fact, we are also proud to have been named a Purple Star School in 2020 by the Virginia Department of Education. This award recognizes the commitment of our school and its leadership to meeting the needs of military-connected students and their parents.

This year we also welcomed many families to STM who were eager to have their children attend school in person – a feat STM reached with the hard work and dedication of our faculty, staff, and administration. As you can imagine, this was not an easy task and the accommodations we’ve had to make in order to ensure the safety of our students were numerous and costly. 

We realize that the global pandemic that has demanded changes to our school has also likely impacted your business. We aren’t asking for your support lightly. Your donations and contributions will go a long way toward improving the learning environment for the students at STM. Specifically, we plan to fund the growth of our school into a 21st century educational center, support tuition assistance for disadvantaged families, and reward our incredible teachers and staff with bonuses. 

To make this event as exciting and successful as possible we will need your help and hope you will consider making a donation. All donations are presented in the online auction catalog and displayed in our virtual live or silent auctions. It is a great opportunity for your business to share with the local community and draw potential new patrons. We have attached a donation form for your convenience, which you can return via mail, fax, or email.
