StachetoberFest is an annual mustache competition, drawing 700+ firefighters and friends from all over Southern California to Stone Brewing Company for a night of charitable festivities. Firefighters (mostly men☺) grow mustaches prior to the event in order to compete in a mustache competition. The competition rewards both impressive and pathetic mustaches. Over 50 categories are awarded with mustache prizes. The distribution is done humorously and has been an entertainment favorite by patrons. 

Stone brewery brews a specialty beer for this event only. A portion of beer sales is allotted to the recipient of the event. Local venues generously donate likable goods and services to be bid on and raffled to the patrons. Stache goers peruse the raffle and auction items while enjoying a brewery meal only Stone can provide. 

The fire service is likened to a large family. Each member has participated in numerous trainings all over the state. This event brings them all together in support of one stricken by tragedy. All proceeds are given to the chosen recipient. There are no employees of StachetoberFest, just volunteers.
