Hello! My name is Dominic Polito. I work for the Escondido Fire Department and I am in

charge of our annual fundraiser, StachetoberFest. StachetoberFest is a mustache competition

for firefighters (mostly men ) and friends, on a night in October (15th!) at Stone Brewing

Company. We take over the gardens with over 600 folks, drink charitable beer and raise

anywhere between 20 and 30 grand each year. You may be wondering, “Dominic, how do you

people raise that much money in one night?” Well that’s where you come in. We gather

firefighter friendly auction and raffle items from local venues and then sucker the firefighters

into paying way too much for them. The more unique and beautiful the prize, the more money

we make. I know what you’re thinking right now, “what if I want to donate something really

awesome, or if I just want to donate a thousand dollars? Can I do that? Is it tax deductible?”

Why yes, good citizen, it is. We are a 501c3 non-profit organization and would happily furnish

you with a receipt if you need it. Our tax ID # is 46-1462401. All proceeds benefit fire related
