FoodShare Toronto is a registered charity that advocates for food justice by supporting community-based food initiatives and through ongoing advocacy and public education. Our vision is a Toronto where all people can feed themselves, their loved ones, and their communities with dignity and joy. Last year, we reached over 460,000 people through our various programs and advocacy initiatives, including supporting networks of subsidized fresh produce markets and community gardens across the city of Toronto; engaging community members of all ages in hands-on, food-based learning and discussion; and from the onset of COVID-19 to present, providing direct-to-door delivery of fresh, high-quality produce at no cost to folks who are facing food insecurity.

None of this important, community-level work would be possible without the efforts and talents of the FoodShare team. For the past four years, we have held an annual staff appreciation event to recognize and celebrate the hard work that goes into running these programs. In order to encourage all staff to enjoy some lighthearted activities and connect with each other, we are holding this year’s Staff Appreciation event will take place from October 24, 2022- November 21, 2022
