Step back in time with us and visit the Hollywood Canteen! In October of 1942, stars Bette Davis and John Garfield opened the Hollywood Canteen for all service members to visit before deploying to WWII. Their ticket was their uniform and the staff were some of the most famous stars of their time. Where else could they be served by Shirley Temple, dance with Betty Grable and watch Roy Rogers and his horse, Trigger, perform in one place for free?

On April 21, 2023, we'll transport you back to 1942 and the Hollywood Canteen- a time of Big Band, Swing, and a huge war time effort. Just as the Canteen was- all are welcome! Your ticket includes dinner, open bar and entertainment and 1940s Style dress is encouraged.

Doors will open at 6:30 pm and dinner will be served at 7:15 pm. Come prepared for some exciting announcements and some fun surprises. Tickets are $100 per person and you can secure a table for 8 at $750. We would love for you to create your own centerpiece for the table- perhaps in tribute to a family member who served in our Armed Forces- if you would like to do so. We also have an option to do a tribute to a loved one who served (or is serving) which will play throughout the event.

Proceeds from this event will benefit our annual school outreach- Supplies for Success, formerly known as Give a Kid a Chance. With a new year comes new opportunities to serve in bigger and better ways! This annual event supplies families in need with the tools they need to start the year off right. Students receive a new bookbag, supplies as requested by their schools, a haircut, a tshirt, medical/dental/vision screenings as needed, lunch and basic hygiene items.
