This year’s Tricky Tray will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022. All funds raised are used to support and sponsor programs for the remainder of the 2021-2022 school year and preparing for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year. The success of this event depends on the generous, selfless donations of you, our supporters. The Stillwater Township PTA is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization comprised of parents, family members, teachers and administrators of the Stillwater Township Elementary School located in rural Sussex County, New Jersey, which serves approximately 300 Pre-K through 6th grade students. The underlying philosophy of our PTA is to maintain a cooperative effort between the school, home and community in order to benefit all of our children. The executive board works closely with the teachers and administration to plan relevant co-curricular programs such as Back to School Night, our annual Spelling Bee and educational Assemblies throughout the year. We provide students with agenda homework pads, pre-printed with school information and reinforced folders as well. Parent and teacher volunteers plan extra-curricular events including a Halloween event; family game night, movie night; bingo night; book fairs and a talent show. Each year we award scholarships to four students of our graduating 6th grade class and two high school seniors of the graduating class of our sending district. This year the PTA has partnered with the school to provide for and encourage the entire student body with the new recycling initiative! We have provided new yoga mats and blankets for the mindfulness program at Stillwater which we believe is a crucial offering during these times. We are also hoping to provide the students with multiple sensory hallways throughout the school. A sensory path is a great way for kids to develop motor skills like balance, hand-eye coordination, and spatial awareness. Encouraging brain breaks and fitness along with so many other positive exercises like hop scotch and wall push-ups. The amount and range of opportunities that we are able to provide for our children is dependent, in part, upon fundraising efforts such as our annual Tricky Tray. All contributions are greatly appreciated and so it is with hope and enthusiasm that we ask you to consider donating a product(s) or service(s) to help make this year’s event even more successful than it has been in the past.
