Founded in 1959, Stilwell Elementary is home to over 250 children and their families in the South Johnson County, KS Area. On Friday March 3, 2023 Stilwell Elementary will hold its 19th Annual Silent and Live Auction.  The auction, our primary fundraiser, generates funds which support learning and activities for all students by sponsoring various Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) programs throughout the year.

The 2021 Silent and Live Auction raised over $40,000.00 – largely due to the generosity of donors and sponsors like you! We were able to provide additional support for the school following a very unusual school year and look forward to ramping back up to “normal”. Additionally, the PTO was able to fortify its current reserves ensuring its future projects and viability

How does the Stilwell PTO use this ongoing reserve? To name a few things, we support our families by paying for all student field trips, supply technology and teaching aids to the classrooms, and provide many different activities and events throughout the year for our families to enjoy. The PTO also provides our principal with the ability to assist families in need so their children can have the same positive school experience as their peers. Furthermore, we support our teachers through additional funds for supplies and classroom aids through grants.

For many years, Stilwell Elementary has earned the Governor’s Award for testing in the top three percent (3%) of all elementary schools in the state of Kansas. We realize this incredible feat occurs through the diligent efforts of many people, including partners in our community like you, who care about our school, our children and our future. Now with the core curriculum, there is no limit to what we can accomplish with your gracious help to continue providing vital support to Stilwell staff and students.

We would love to elicit your support this year and asking for items for our Auction or participating in one of our many Sponsorship levels. Suggested donations include merchandise, gift certificates, and/or services.  As a donor to this event, you will receive recognition on our auction website, which is distributed to over three hundred families in our community as well as during the auction itself, next to your donated item(s).  Your donation is 100% tax deductible. Sponsorships also offer a number recognition throughout the event depending on level.
