Hello, my name is Maria Eugenia Castaneda and I work for Fort Worth ISD in the Fort Wporth After School Program (FWAS) as a Family Engagement Specialist. 

Fort Worth After School's mission is to, "Provide quality before and after school programs in a safe environment that result in educational, physical, and social develpment for elementary, middle, and high school students" 

I work for ten schools, five Middle schools, and five High schools, where we offer the following services: academic resources, classes, and recreational activities for after-school students, parents, and families. By providing them with resources they can develop coexisting relationships to be more involved in supporting their children, for a better futre. 

Currently, I am planning to have a Fieldtrip to ATT Stadium, as part of the incentive for parents and their children, who have completed classes and activities in the After-School program. My goal is to encourage them to keep supporting their children in school. 

Several parents have two or more jobs in order to survive, and are unable to afford entertainment with their children. The purpose of this activitity is to give the parents the opportunity to spend quality time with their children and a brief break.

We have 350 students who have reached a milestone with consistent attendance, an increase with their acdemics, as well as displaying postive character skills.  Any donation you provide is appreciated.
