Re: Signature Bowling Event

For over 50 years, Reena has been providing housing, programs and employment services for individuals with Autism, mental health challenges and other diverse health needs. Reena supports over 1,000 people across the GTA.

Striking for Reena is an annual bowling event. It is overwhelmingly popular because it’s so inclusive. Families, friends and supporters bowl alongside individuals supported by Reena. With family fun at the heart of the event, there’s truly something for everyone. In addition to bowling, we offer prizes (Top Fundraiser, Top Team), lots of food and a fabulous online auction.

The 12th Annual event will take place on Sunday, May 5th, 2024 at Splitsville Richmond Hill.

Striking funds so many of Reena's important initiatives, including Reena’s Respite Programs, providing a ‘lifeline’ to caregivers.

If a caregiver is mentally and/or physically exhausted, he or she won’t be at their best when their family member needs them the most. Our overnight Respite is offered for a night or weekend. We offer longer stays for families in crisis. This allows parents the opportunity to spend time with other family members, have dinner, or take a much-needed vacation, knowing that their family member is in a caring and safe environment. Programs are tailored to the needs of the individual.  Families have described these programs as “Life-Lines.”

Most of the families cannot afford the actual costs of 24/7 staff and require financial assistance. We rely on the proceeds from Striking for Reena to help us subsidize the program.

You can help us reach our fundraising goal by donating a prize for our online auction. Names and/or logos of all donors will be listed on our event website and online auction.
