Description

Reclaim13 will be hosting our Summer Achievement Celebration Program for survivors of sexual exploitation. This on-going event is designed to celebrate the survivors of sexual exploitation and their ability to overcome obstacles. Our minor home provides services for girls 10-17 years old. One of our major goals is to focus on providing special and memorable childhood experiences.  These types of experiences could be (but not limited to): amusment park admission, theater/music performances, local attractions, dining events, cultureal events. Our hope is to provide our survivors with experiences that will allow then to see all the good and amazing things this world has to offer.

The mission of Reclaim13 is to forge pathways for healing survivors of child sexual abuse and exploitation. In the past 11 years Reclaim13 has focused on 3 main areas: healing, prevention, and engagement. Programs include safe housing (the only one in Illinois for minors), mentoring, and child & family therapy/support services. We are in a campaign to raise funds for opening a Community Center with more transitional living apartments for our 18-25 year olds. We also host a Mentor Program that pairs trained mentors with survivors of all ages in Illinois and a Child & Family Program that serves individuals who are referred to us through our partnership with Lurie Children’s Hospital. The program pairs children and their families with trained, compassionate mentors as they journey from disclosure through healing and into reclaiming wholeness. The newly opened Reclaim13 Therapy Clinic is also part of this program and provides trauma informed therapy to individuals throughout the community who are pursuing healing supported by a licensed clinical therapist.
