Summer Evening with Friends and Neighbors
Gala/Party for Weathersfield Proctor LibraryJul 26, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Deborah Richardson, and I am member of the Weathersfield Proctor Library Fundraising Committee. The Weathersfield Proctor Library is proud to be hosting the 13th Annual Summer Evening Event. This year we are pleased to have Ida Mae Specker performing Old-time music for modern times, wild-eyed fiddling and original folk from the hills of Vermont.
As part of the Summer Evening event, the fundraising committee will be hosting a silent auction which has been a major part of this event since its inception. We are writing you today with the hope that your business will consider donating an item
or gift certificate for the auction. Previous support for this event has generously helped us fund a two-phase construction project. The first phase consisted of an ADA compliant entrance and a bathroom. Later a children’s room was added on to the main floor along with Weathersfield/Vermont history research room located in the basement. The Weathersfield Proctor Library is working on it's third expansion, a reading room to increasing the public area of our beloved small library.
The Weathersfield Proctor Library was established in 1903, a gift from Benjamin Franklin Blood in memory of his mother, Roxellana Proctor Blood. This library serves Weathersfield as a cultural and intellectual resource and is the center of community programming. It is town facility that is open to all regardless of age and income. All donations are tax deductible. Our tax I.D. # is 03-6000745. Please consider helping us as we continue to work on renovations that respect the beautiful interior of this historic building. A silent auction donation would be very much appreciated.
