Summer Fun Fair
Carnival/Festival for Toronto District School Board/ Dundas Junior Public SchoolJun 01, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Dundas Junior Public School's Fun Fair is scheduled for June 1st at the school grounds in downtown Toronto, an occasion for the Dundas Junior community to have fun together and our largest fundraising event for the year.
Funds raised last year have been crucial for the development of a STEM lab and reinvigorated Kindergarten playground. The hope is to extend the lab and purchase some buddy benches for the new school year. (Buddy benches, also known as “friendship benches”, are designed to combat loneliness and bullying in schools. Children can sit on the bench to indicate that they are feeling lonely or isolated and need another child to reach out to them. Using the buddy bench program on the playground can encourage students to look out for one another so no one feels left out.)
In order to make this event a true triumph, we want to ask for your help.
As a business and community leader, you know how costly large initiatives like ours can be.
Dundas Public School is a downtown school located in the South Riverdale area. Our school now serves almost 580 students of multicultural background. Approximately one half of the children's first language is Cantonese or Mandarin. We share our building with the First Nations School of Toronto and have a strong French Immersion program.
Please donate to our silent auction and let us crush our fundraising goals, especially ahead of the deep budget cuts the TDSB is anticipating.
Thank you!
