The Oceans of Possibility Summer Learning Program is a series of free events and activities designed to foster a love of reading and to develop or refine reading, writing, and learning skills during the summer months while school is out. The Summer Learning Program consists of over 1,400 programs taking place at eight library locations throughout the county. In 2021, total attendance was over 15,000 children and teens. We are requesting a pair or family pack of admission tickets to use as an incentive/reward for a program participant who achieves his or her summer reading goals. 

Students who attend library-based summer reading programs not only perform better in the classroom and on standardized tests when they return to school in the fall, they develop lifelong positive literacy habits like independent reading and visiting their local public library.
