We can all agree that reading is important in the education of young people. This summer the East Lake Elementary PTO is designing a program to encourage and help kids in their learning and reading goals no matter what support they have at home. We are a Title 1 school and work with the teachers and administration at our school so that all children have equal opportunity to succeed. In our summer readathon, we would like to encourage the children by offering incentives so that they are more motivated to reach those goals.
