The Millstadt Library hosts a Summer Reading and Activity Program every year. We are reaching out to you about our annual program an hoping it may be possible to donate participation prizes or grand prizes for the end of the program. Our program this year will be from June 12, 2023 through July 24, 2023.

Our Summer Reading Program is a yearly event that spans six weeks and is open to children, teens and adults. We see around 50 to 100 participants. Our program helps to promote literacy, fuel a want for learning, and build community during a period of time that is often a leading cause of restlessness and loss of intellectual and communicative skills for youth.

Our reading programs not only focus on enhancing literacy, but building real world skills and we do so by focusing on small businesses and taking our participants on field trips. These field trips gave our "library learners" a chance to get real world, hands-on learning and were well received.
