The Millstadt Library hosts a Summer Reading and Activity Program every year. We are reaching out to you about our annual program and hoping it may be possible to donate participation prizes or grand prizes for the end of the program. Our program this year will be from June 10, 2024 through July 22, 2024.

Our Summer Reading Program is a yearly event that spans six weeks and is open to children, teens and adults. We see around 100 to 200 participants. Our program helps to promote literacy, fuel a want for learning, and build community during a period of time that is often a leading cause of restlessness and loss of intellectual and communicative skills for youth.

Our reading programs not only focus on enhancing literacy, but building real world skills and we do so by focusing on small businesses and taking our participants on field trips. These field trips gave our "library learners" a chance to get real world, hands-on learning and were well received. Last year our readers read over 100,000 minutes and completed over 300 activities.

In addition to helping us reward our library patrons, a donation would help promote your business and help foster a sense of community in Millstadt. We would be happy to thank you publicly for your generosity, and promote your business at the same time on our website, social media and on print promotions. To promote your business fully, we request that any donations be made by May 15, 2024.
