The Summer Reading Club is an annual tradition that is eagerly anticipated by members of our community.  It promotes literacy and a love of lifelong reading for all ages-children, teens and adults.  For 2024 our theme is "Adventure Begins at Your Library."  Presenters from outside our community are scheduled to provide programs and these programs have always been well attended.  Based on our previous years of Summer Reading Clubs, we estimate that there will be approximately 500 active participants this year.  Prizes of coupons, gift cards, tickets to events and other items are used as incentives for reading for all the ages.  Donor participation will greatly add to the interest of our Summer Reading Club and allow us to provide rewards for those who read during the summer and particpate in "Adventures Begins at Your Library." Our community, the library staff and Friends of the Burleson Public Library appreciate all the incentives donated by our donors. Donors will be recognized by digital signage in library, library Facebook and website, library e-newsletter that reaches approximately 19,000 library card holders and by the Friends of the Library Facebook.
