On June 29, 2023, the children are invited to register for our Summer Reading Program.  It is a five week program that runs from June 29 - August 4. Middle School students grade 6 through High School level 12 volunteer to help us out by sitting at the registration table for two hours at a time while the program runs.  Some volunteers (we usually have about 30 volunteers) help us out and spend over 20 hours each at the registration table.  They are required to speak to the children, stamp their booklets, and give them a worksheet they can complete in order to be in a raffle to win a big prize.  We have to purchase the prizes for nonreaders and readers as incentives to read during the summer months to prevent summer slide.

Registration:  Come to the Library on June 29 for registration, pick up your small bag of goodies, with Passport and weekly worksheet.

June 29:  Jack’s Petting Zoo:  12:00 – 1:30 PM
Located to the left of the new playground next to the clothing bins.
All children need to be accompanied by an adult.

Week 5: July 31 – Aug.  4    Read, complete your Reading Passport Log & worksheet, pick up your weekly incentive prize, and new worksheet.
