Description

Our program is very popular among our community members, many of whom support your business throughout the year. Sponsoring the Summer Reading Program increasees local literacy. Sudies show that children fall behind their peers during the summer if they are not exposed to books and encouraged to read. Reading just four to six books over the summer has the potential to prevent a decline in reading achievement scores. Hinckley's program offers reading incentives for all ages, keeping adult minds active as well. During our seven-week program participants earn weekly prizes plus entries into drawing for grand prizes.  This year our theme is "It's Showtime at Your Library" Our event and activites will focus on creativity and the arts. Your support will help local families discover enriching, educational activites at no cost to them. Thanks to generous donations and exciting programs, we were able to serve a record 346 participants last year. We have seen a 70% increase in participation since 2016. In order to make the the program positive and enjoyable, we are requesting donations to use as incentives and prizes. In the past we have received various gift certificaties, passes, and coupons. Cash donations are always greatly appreciated as well. To show our appreciaton we display the "Partners in Reading" on our webiste and Facebook page. We also publicly thank each donor by listing you on summer reading brochures, advertisements, and signage. It is our sincere hope that this recongnition serves our partners by encouraging continued patronage of your establishment. Your contributions are tax deductible under section 170(c) (1) of the Internal Revenue Code. Thank you for consideration. Alll contribtions should be received by May, 1 2019 to make sure your name gets included on our summer reading advertisements as being a "Partner in Reading"
