The SRP is designed to promote reading among patrons both young and young at heart, during the summer months. This year, our SRP will begin on June 27th and will conclude on August 19th.

The 2022 SRP theme is “Oceans of Possibilities,” so we will be doing lots of programs about the exciting adventures on the high seas!  To add to the fun and to create a sense of challenge that will keep people reading, we would like to offer raffles at the end of the SRP in addition to regular programming.  Because of our limited budget, though, we cannot afford to provide both programming and prizes without help from the community.  Your donation could help us reach our goals!

Our staff & patrons specifically suggested I reach out to you because they thought kids and adults alike might be encouraged to sign up for the SRP if we offered some raffles for gift certificates from fun local businesses.  From your business, I was hoping we might be able to get a financial donation to provide some fabulous prizes!  Not only would this be an amazing donation, but your sponsorship would also raise awareness of your business – especially to those who have moved into the area recently!

All donations are tax deductible and will be greatly appreciated, not only by the Mechanicville District Public Library, but also by the children and families we serve.  The names of our sponsors will be publicized in the library and on our website, so your sponsorship will afford you some extra advertisement as well!
