Description

My name is Tobi Bentley and I am the Youth Services Librarian at the Sutton Public Library in Sutton, MA.  We are currently organizing our big annual summer reading program. The program begins June 20th and runs through August 11th. The theme of this year’s program is Find Your Voice. This combines activism, creative expression, and STEAM fields, with an emphasis on social justice, artistic expression, history, community, social movements, standing up for what you believe in, being part of something bigger than yourself and the experiences people shared during these events. The goals of the summer reading program are to encourage all patrons, young and old, to unite the community through a shared love of reading and the love of the library.

A major aspect of organizing the summer reading program is the collection of prizes to reward patrons for their participation over the course of the summer.  These prizes play a large part in garnering excitement for the program, but they also give the children something to strive for as they complete their summer reading goals. Your contribution will not only go towards prizes, but also to hire performers for the children and much needed supplies for our summer reading program. With limited funds, we need your help to make our summer reading program the very best it can be. We are hoping that you or your organization would be willing to make a donation to our program.  Any donation would be greatly appreciated. We will publicly recognize your generosity by letting our patrons know through the summer reading program that your donation made the program a huge success.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Tobi Bentley
