Description

We are reaching out to seek your assistance for the upcoming summer library program at Coffee County Manchester Public Library. Our aim is to encourage children in our community to develop a love for reading during the summer, helping them retain valuable reading skills. This year's theme, "Adventure Begins at the Library," is designed to further enhance community engagement.

In the previous year, we achieved our highest enrollment with 624 youth participating in the reading program. Anticipating even greater interest this year, with over 700 expected participants, we are dedicated to creating a sense of challenge that motivates kids to read. To achieve this, we offer incentives and contest prizes throughout the summer. However, due to budget constraints, we are seeking support to make this possible.

Last year, our community businesses and patrons generously donated over $16,000 in prizes & money, covering the costs of live performers, craft supplies, prizes, and enhancing the youth area. We plan to host a grand finale carnival on July 13th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the ADA Wright Building to reward our readers.

We invite community businesses to collaborate with us by becoming vendors, setting up games, or organizing activities that support our youth while promoting local businesses. Your participation will greatly contribute to the success of our summer library program.

Any donation, whether monetary or in the form of items for prizes, coupons for free goods or services, or gift cards, will be highly appreciated. We will acknowledge your generous support in our publicity, featuring all donors on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and our library entrance windows in the foyer. The window display will include bronze ribbons for $100 donors, silver ribbons for $150 donors, gold ribbons for $200 donors, and a special image of a trophy for donors contributing more than $250. The top local donor will receive a trophy as a token of our appreciation.

Thank you for considering our request. We look forward to the possibility of working together to make this summer library program a memorable experience for the children in our community.

Sincerely,

Daphanie Gragg
