Description

Sponsoring the Summer Reading Program increases local literacy. Studies show that children fall behind their peers during the summer if they are not exposed to books and encouraged to read. Hinckley Public Library’s summer program offers incentives to keep participants of all ages reading and learning.

This year our theme is “Read Beyond the Beaten Path.” Our events and activities will focus on nature, health, and exploration. Your support will help local families discover enriching, educational activities at no cost to them. From nature walks to galaxy art, 2022 will be a summer to remember.

Covering the months of June and July each year, the program reaches an average of 300 participants ranging from infants through senior citizens. By reading and participating in library activities they earn chances to win donated prizes from our generous sponsors.
