We offer a six-week program to the children of our community that encourages children to read for pleasure during the summer.  This is instrumental in retaining their reading skills for the next school year.  We also have a robust reading program for teens and adults too. This year’s theme is “All Together Now,” which focuses on kindness, friendship, and community. 

Our summer reading program helps keep families coming to the library, enjoying our free weekly programs with speakers and activities.  While reading, participants earn raffle tickets for a variety of prizes.  We count on donations we receive from community members like you to offer wonderful reading incentives.  I greatly appreciate your continued support of libraries and ask for your contribution of gift certificates or prize items this year.  Any prize, large or small, is greatly appreciated.  Prizes are displayed beginning June 26th, and are awarded on Tuesday, August 1st at our finale program.  We will announce your company by name as a supporter of our local kids at the finale.  All sponsors will also appear on our website.
