Description

Every Summer our library provides 7 weeks of educational and fun activities for children and their families. We have presenters come in to teach everyone about thier specific area of expertise. We travel to local historical, informational and fun places. We teach crafts and art classes. During this time we also have a Summer Reading Challenge. Which encourages children to continue to read while they are out of school for the summer. Helping to maintain they're level of reading ability. We have set goals for the kids. When they achieve a goal they receive a prize. They also get an entry to a GRAND PRIZE to be drawn at the end of season party. All these programs cost money. As with most libraries our budgets are stretched very thin. So our Library looks to donors to help defray the costs. We are a small very rural library, our summer program has become an intrical part of the summer in our community. Because of budget restraints we have to limit the number of people at our programs. Your generous contribution would be greatly appreciated and would allow more children to attend our programs and also would allow us to hire even more quality presenters. we also could use donations to use as prizes for our Reading Challenge.
