Description

Adventure begins at the library!

That is our theme for this year’s Summer Reading Program at the Ruth Holder Public Library, and we are excited about it. This summer’s theme will be all about having adventures and reading books.

Every year, we ask for donations to help our library fund the Summer Reading Program, and this year is no different. Our Summer Reading Program's success is entirely dependent upon the donations received. We have big plans, but it’s up to you to help our library succeed with them! Our program begins June 1st, 2024.

We desperately need donations to pull this and every Summer Reading Program off with the amazing plans we have. While we have our regular programs going, we want to include special programming such as establishing a new Lego club for school-aged students, teen metal detection club, teen life skills classes along with adult crafting.  All of these great plans as well as rewarding summer reading with amazing prizes. It’s fun to watch the kids work hard at keeping up with their reading throughout the summer and putting their tickets toward great prizes.  Would you please consider sending a cash donation, a gift card, or a prize to help us this summer?

All these plans we are busy making can’t happen without you! We will gladly display your name above our main door throughout the summer so everyone in the library can see who supports us. It brings such a feeling of community pride! If you wish to remain anonymous, we can do that as well. Please know that all of your support means so much to us and we are working hard for our community and know we couldn’t do a thing without you.

Summer reading for our kids helps them dramatically when they return to school in the fall. We want to work as hard as possible to help people of all ages have a fun summer of reading. Won’t you join us?
