Founded in 1979, CAPC provides intervention and education serves for children and families who are facing the tragedy of abuse, or who have been victimized and desperately need help putting their families lives back together. Programs include respite childcare for at risk families, home mentoring for at risk families, advocacy for children in foster care, and support programs for at risk youth. With 99% of the families that we serve being at, or below the poverty level.
The Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Program works with children who are in foster care in San Joaquin County, through services in the areas of mentorship, advocacy, and support in all areas of life, safety, permanency, education, and well-being.
On behalf of the Child Abuse Prevention Council (CAPC) of San Joaquin County, we invite you to please consider donating to the 9th Annual SuperHero Run! This event brings awareness to the community of the need for more volunteers and the importance of the program; in supporting those who are most vulnerable amongst us. Children who are in Foster Care.
To that end, we invite you to partner with the CASA Program of San Joaquin County in continuing the work of Advocacy for youth in Foster Care through your generous contribution to our program. We are in need of prize gifts for our participants as well as for our SuperHero Run grand prize winners. There is no prize, gift card, or donation that is too small. Working together we can continue the work of creating positive pathways in the life of each child.
