Description

Brook Knoll Elementary School has been recognized as a California Distinguished School and is a Gold Ribbon Award Winner. It might come as a surprise, but Scotts Valley Unified School District is the lowest funded district in Santa Cruz County and one of the lowest funded school districts in the state of California. In addition, our funding levels are 97% below other districts similar in size and 9thlowest out of 344 districts in California.

These financial challenges do not deter our endeavor to educate our youth. Through this community’s efforts and resources, we have some of the best schools in our county and the entire state of California. This truly speaks to the tremendous combined effort of teachers, parents, administration and our caring community towards providing an excellent education for our children.

Our annual auction, “Superhero Soirée,” will be held on March 9th2019. This annual fundraiser provides our school and over 550 students with necessary programs that are not funded by the state. The fundraising efforts by the parent-teacher organization, Brook Knoll Eagle Connection, fully fund the Music program, Art, Science & Engineering, Computer Lab & Life Lab programs. These programs would not exist without community support. We are also able tosupply funding for In-Class Instructional Aides, Reading & Math Intervention, Counseling Services, Anti-Bullying Education, Fitness and Health, and Yard Duties.

We are seeking your support, specifically donations for our silent and live auctions. Any donation that you can provide would be appreciated!  You can make your donation on-line at: https://bkec.info/auction/, mail your donation to the address listed above or contact us to pick it up.

We are so grateful to be a part of this wonderful community and appreciate your support of Brook Knoll Elementary School.  Thank you for your consideration.
