My name is Jennifer Walters, I’m a avid runner here in Staten Island. My Father was a Vietnam Veteran and sadly he passed away from cancer in December 2020 due to Agent Orange. Since his passing, I have found a way to still be connected to him by still supporting our military and veterans. Something my Father and I shared growing up. I became a Non For Profit Charity and 501c3 called SUPPORT OUR TROOPS 5K CHARITY. Every year I organize a 5k run called SUPPORT OUR TROOPS 5K and numerous fundraising events through out the year. We do this all to give back to our active and veteran military that fight everyday for our freedom and the things we love. I do it all in my Father’s memory. I was raised in a home were we support our military and help those who are in need.

Along with my team with Complete Race Solutions, we hold an Annual 5K Run/Walk in October to raise money to support our Troops in honor of my Father, Vinny Walters. The Support Our Troops 5K is always held at beautiful Wolfe’s Pond Park, 420 Cornelia Ave, Staten Island, NY. 10312.

Our goal is to send any kind of support to our active and veteran military where it is much needed. A chance to give back and thank them for all they do for our country. There are way too many homeless veterans, active/veterans battling PTSD, health issues with no support, and inadequate living conditions for those who are disabled, the list goes on. With our support, we can help give them the assistance they so desperately need.

They are heroes who risk their lives every day to protect our country and always make it a better place to live. Be a hero to a hero.
