Event Description:

We earnestly hope for your business' support for the 10th annual Support Our Troops Casino night on Saturday, November 23, 2019. The event will benefit Bonds of Courage and the Family Readiness Groups of the 1-102nd Cavalry Regiment of the NJ Army National Guard.

This year’s Casino Night will be unique.  For the first time since the inception of the Support Our Troops Casino Night the 1st Squadron, 102nd Cavalry Regiment, NJ Army National Guard will not be home to celebrate with us.  In view of their absence these men and women began serving our nation on deployment to the Middle East and the Horn of Africa. We hope to continue and even redouble our fundraising efforts.  While our primary mission is to support all Veterans and service members serving all branches of the military across our nation, the 102nd Cavalry Squadron holds a special place in our hearts. They are our hometown heroes based with us in Westfield, NJ.    

Purpose of Fundraiser:

Funds raised will support our primary missions supporting our troops, veterans and their families to build morale, and to meet needs relating to jobs, health, families, and finances. Funds raised this year will support the 1-102nd Cavalry Family Readiness Group's soldier and family morale activities, assist with urgent needs during and after deployment and also cover expenses to celebrate their homecoming.

What are you requesting:

We are requesting an in-kind product or certificate to be used as a prize for our event. 

Recognition for Donors:

Product donations will be elegantly showcased in our raffle prize gift baskets. Contributions will be acknowledged in the event program distributed to guests and on table cards displayed by each gift or on signage displayed throughout the armory drill floor.

Mission Statement:

Bonds of Courage was established in 2004. We support our troops, veterans and their families to build morale, and to meet needs relating to jobs, health, families, and finances.  We honor their sacrifice by supporting their readiness to serve, enhancing their morale, and assisting their transition from oath to home.  In 2014 we transitioned to an ALL VOLUNTEER organization.

Our Programs:

Resources and Referrals: We provide a network of support to ensure no soldier, veteran or family member is ever alone. Many times, they need help getting connected to existing programs that aren’t as simple to access.  We will provide area expert mentors if needed.

Provisions: We provide care packages and letters for active duty troops.  Due to growing needs of our veterans, we have expanded this program to provide items to organizations that serve homeless veterans and residents of our local veterans memorial home. 

Military Assistance Fund: We provide emergency housing assistance, utility assistance, food cards and more. 100% of all funds in the Military Assistance Fund will be used for service members and Veterans.

Event Advertisement:  Event will be advertised on our website, social media as well as digital print.  Logos will be included in prize signage and on our website.
