Other Event Type for Survivors of Suicide LossApr 08, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM
10th Annual SOSL Day - April 8, 2017
What is SOSL Day?
SOSL Day is an event focused on hope and healing. The program includes an opening talk, followed by a Question/Answer panel comprised of people who have lost loved ones to suicide. The event is an opportunity to learn from others who have walked this path before us. After a catered lunch participants break out into facilitated support groups based on their type of loss – child, spouse, sibling, friend, parent, etc.
Why would I want to attend SOSL Day?
It is not often that we in the survivor community have an opportunity to meet and talk with others who share a similar loss. We have much to learn from one another. Research shows being a part of a supportive community that offers acceptance, comfort, and encouragement is important in the healing process. SOSL Day brings survivors together to help each other on our respective journeys, on to the goal of living with hope once again.
