The Sutherland stampede is an all-encompassing day of fun and fundraising for Sutherland Elementary, a Chicago Public School on the City’s South Side. On the day of the event, our entire student body and staff come together to “stampede” through our neighborhood celebrating Sutherland and showing off our school spirit! The funds raised are used to secure and distribute resources for our students and to offer long-term enhancements that foster equity and inclusion. Such resources include: Chromebooks, cameras, on-line subscriptions for e-learning and designating and caring for greenspace at the school with a community garden.

 The Sutherland foundation for education and enrichment is an independent not for profit whose goal is to secure and distribute resources to support our children and bring the community together to make a difference. Our goal is to offer long-term enhancements that foster equity and inclusion and an overall vibrant public school experience.
