The Stampede is a walk-a-thon and carnival that promotes community and has historically raised up to $25,000 in much needed funds for our students. Sutherland Elemantary is a K-8 Chicago Public School, located in Chicago's Beverly community on the far south side of the city. Many of our students and their families are low-income or otherwise high need. 

The funds raised at the Stampede are used to secure and distribute resources for our students and to offer long-term enhancements to the school.Such resources include:Chromebooks, cameras, on-line subscriptions, tools for caring for greenspace at the school with a community garden, and much needed repair to our playground equipment and outdoor spaces. 

SFEE is an independent not-for-profit organization whose goal is to support our children and bring the community together, to make a difference.

As you know, Chicago Public Schools are woefully underfunded. I do hope you are able to donate to our stampede as a wonderful community partner. Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions. I have atteched to this letter our 501(c)(3) status as well as flyer about out stampede.
