The Sandlot Children's Charity was founded by Texas Rangers radio broadcaster, Jared Sandler, and we support kids with physical and intellectual disabilities by distributing generous grants. We closed our 2023 grant cycle in May and handed out 11 grants on August 3rd to organizations and/or individuals that have a financial need to participate in athletics.

Our growth continues as last year we hosted our 6th annual Swinging Fore A Cause - a 1,000 person event at TopGolf in The Colony featuring a concert by Bowling For Soup - and we surpassed the $1 million raised mark! We wouldn't be able to do these things without our generous sponsors, money raised from auction, and of course attendees at our annual event. As we continue our efforts, we are excited to announce that the 2023 Swinging For a Cause will be "taking the field" at Globe Life Field, home of the Texas Rangers. This year's event will provide the unique experience of being on the field and there will be fun for the entire family!

With one of the best facilities in sports as our playground, guests will enjoy ballpark fare, drinks, mixing and mingling with friends and celebrities while playing some great tailgate games in the outfield. The event will also include a wiffle ball derby!

Proceeds from the event will be donated through The Sandlot grant process to local non-profits who provide athletic opportunities to children with physical disabilities. 

Our in-person silent auction at Swinging For A Cause is equally available online, allowing people not in attendance and across the US to participate, giving participating companies even broader exposure. 

Last but not least, we're excited to have 105.3 The Fan, a 100,000 watt station, as our media partner for another year which means lots of exposure for all of our partners. One of the things we're happy to offer our donors is publicity in the way of mentions through the station as well as through the social media platforms of Jared, our organization's accounts and other celebrities who are a part of the event.
