For over 35 years, Helping Paws Assistance Dogs has been a staple in Minnesota, providing independence and companionship to individuals with physical disabilities, veterans, and first responders with PTSD. Our Tail Waggin’ Dinner, the annual fundraiser supporting Helping Paws assistance dogs is just around the corner. On Saturday, September 28th, 2024 we invite you, along with our graduates and foster home trainers, to come together to support Helping Paws service dogs and the gifts of dignity, independence, peace of mind, and companionship they give to their partners.

Can we count on you to donate an auction item this year?

In 2023, generous donations from individuals and businesses helped us raise over $180,000. This year our mission is to surpass last year’s goal so we can train and place even more dogs. Training a Helping Paws service dog is a labor of love, taking about 2 ½ years to complete. Even with volunteer foster home trainers, the cost per dog is $30,000. But the result is priceless – a companion who opens doors and hearts.
