My name is Martha Erickson and I am lucky to be a parent and employee for one of the best schools in St. Louis, Villa di Maria Montessori. Our school serves children ages 14-months to 12-years on a beautiful 6-acre campus tucked away in residential Kirkwood. On Saturday, May 4, 2024, we are hosting a Trivia Night and Silent Auction to benefit the Fund for Villa di Maria. We expect to have over 100 people in attendance from nearly 20 zip codes in the greater St. Louis area.

Our Fund ensures we are able to uphold our commitment to provide the very best, authentic Montessori education for our students through high-quality, developmentally appropriate classroom materials, meaningful professional development for our top-notch team and the extensive upkeep required to maintain one of our biggest assets, our gorgeous campus, rich with opportunities for children to explore and experience nature. What does this mean for our community? We firmly believe that the Montessori method, a scientifically developed pedagogy, instills in each child an enthusiasm for learning, thoughtful and responsible behavior, and respect for the natural world and other human beings.

But the most profound impact The Fund for Villa di Maria has is that it allows us to keep our tuition relatively low and accessible to as many families as possible. Any contribution to our Silent Auction, whether it’s a gift certificate, an experience, a service, or a sampling of product, will go a long way toward helping us fulfill our mission and hopefully, through the children, make a positive impact on the world.  Participating businesses will be featured prominently on event flyers, event displays, and in numerous social media “shout-outs.”
