STAR - St. Louis Avian Rescue is the one and only 501c3 parrot rescue in St. Louis. That’s right - parrot rescue! Did you know that 85% of parrots get rehomed within 1-2 years of ownership? Parrots are one of the most rehomed pets in the USA.

While there are few parrot rescues in the country, we have been serving St. Louis as a foster based rescue since 2002. We are a 100% volunteer organization being run entirely by a love for parrots and a passion to better the lives of birds in captivity.

We are excited to announce our first ever large fundraising event, "Take Flight Trivia Night," which is set to take place on October 7.

Through the sale of tables, auction items and other activities at the event, we hope to raise $5000, which will be used to help us meet our mission: To improve and enrich the lives of parrots through rescue, rehabilitative fostering, adoption, and education.
