Nitsch Elementary Named 2023 National Blue Ribbon School, a First in Klein ISD History
Nitsch Elementary made history as the first-ever elementary school in Klein ISD to be named a 2023 National Blue Ribbon School (NBRS) by the U.S. Department of Education, joining an elite group of 353 schools across the NationHere at Nitsch Elementary we are a title 1 school. We have a “Shilling Store” on campus. Students earn “shillings” based on their grades on tests. With the shillings they can buy things like pencils, books, toys, play doh, erasers, stickers, etc,. Basically, small prizes. We usually have staff members, AP’s, principal donate so we can upkeep the store with items. We are quickly running out of prizes. We thought we could reach out to stores and see if they can help. I have attached a word document that as a link, you can donate directly to for Nitsch Elementary.
Nitsch’s annual Thanksgiving Turkey Trot will provide a health option meal for deserving families in the South Klein ISD community. Won’t you please help make it possible for this annual charitable tradition to continue? Thanksgiving is a time of joyful celebration, yet also a time of reflection and growth mentally, physically and emotionally. At Nitsch, we are committed to aiding needy families and individuals throughout the year. We have more families seeking assistance than ever before, but our resources are limited. To be quite honest, our PTO is struggling to gain participation and representation from our families. We are dependent on the generosity of donors to continue to provide much-needed services to people in our dear North Houston community who are in need of assistance
