Description
The Nevada Diabetes Association is hosting its Annual Charity Golf Tournament, "Taking a Swing at Diabetes," on Sunday, April 16th at Red Rock Country Club/ Arroyo Course. The proceeds from this event fund Camp Vegas. Camp Vegas is the only diabetes education resident camp program for children and teens ages 7-17 living with tyoe one diabetes in Southern Nevada. Campers particpate in an action-packed week filled with diabetes education, arts & crafts, physical fitness, sports activities, archery, music, dance, friendly competition between cabins, and other activities that promote collaboration and team building. Camp Vegas promotes an environment of acceptance and belonging that is essential when living with diabetes.
