Takoma Children’s School is celebrating its 22th year of providing a safe, nurturing, and fun-filled environment that fosters creativity and a love of learning among our community’s pre-school aged children. Traditionally, Takoma Children’s School hosts an annual fundraising auction which has been on hold since the pandemic.  This year, we are excited to announce that the Annual TCS Auction is back and will take place May 20, 2023.

Through the generosity of our community businesses and individuals like you, TCS seeks to raise the necessary resources to strengthen our programs and enrich the lives of our preschoolers. Auction proceeds enable us to attract and retain teaching staff of the highest quality, as well as help update our classrooms. Like most organizations, TCS was greatly impacted by the effects of COVID-19 and we are still trying to recover.  As a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization (tax ID 83-0376581), we rely on contributions to this event -- our main fundraising source -- to continue our mission of education through play and exploration.

Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution to our auction. There are many ways to participate: a gift certificate, item or professional service donated for auction, or a direct monetary donation to help underwrite the event. To do this, please email our Deputy Director, Rebecca Wadler at rebecca@takomachildren.org or mail to our address below, attn Rebecca Wadler.   Your tax-deductible donation must be received by May 5th to be included in this year’s auction.

Contributing to this event is a great way to advertise your business to the community!  Each contribution receives prominent recognition at the auction (both through live announcements and signage) and on our website. Our marketing reach includes community businesses, families, and friends throughout northwest Washington, DC, and southern Montgomery County.
