The Takoma Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization (TES PTO) is planning an online auction that will run from Saturday, May 17 through Sunday, June 1. 

Serving pre-K through 5th grade, TES is Takoma DC’s neighborhood public school, located on Piney Branch Road, NW. We are an “arts integration” school, meaning we incorporate the arts and creative expression into core subjects and curricula, allowing students to develop a deeper understanding of the material and to learn to think and problem solve creatively. TES is a vibrant school with Title I designation, where the majority of students receive free and reduced lunches and 39% of students are English language learners. We have a talented, loving staff that knows each student by name, and teachers who work together to share effective teaching strategies.

Since our first auction in 2018, proceeds have been used to meet many of the school community’s needs (e.g., new computers, classroom supplies, and food resources for TES families) and enrichment opportunities (e.g., class field trips and cultural heritage celebrations).
