Description

Hello,

I’m seeking donations on behalf of The Animal Pad (TAP), an all-breed, non-profit dog rescue based in San Diego. Since 2010, we have been rescuing dogs from both the streets of Mexico and high-kill shelters throughout Southern California. We have a special place in our hearts for the underdog; we are proud to be the rescue that doesn’t say no to a dog, despite any medical or behavioral needs. In 2019, we proudly rescued 360 dogs. By the end of 2020, our rescue had quadrupled in size in number of dogs rescued, number of new fosters, number of dogs adopted, and number of new volunteers. One of the most memorable aspects of the pandemic is the amount of people that turned to dogs to provide the comfort needed to weather the uncertainty, pain, and chaos that the past few years has brought. TAP is a nonprofit that is dog-focused, but while saving the lives of these dogs, it is clear we helped humans in the process.

We are currently planning our second annual TAP Holiday PAWty on December 10, 2022 which will also serve as a fundraising event. Our pawty will include live music, photo booths, caricature artists, food and alcohol for sale, plus plenty of adoptable dogs! We had over 300 people in attendance and were able to raise some much needed funds to cover our rescue efforts. This year, we’re hoping to have over 500 attendees and are planning to raise at least $25,000 to cover some of our existing vetting bills as we’ve taken on a lot of medical dog cases this year (you can find some of our glow-ups on our Instagram @theanimalpad).

As part of the fundraising event, we are also organizing a raffle and silent auction.
