Taste of the Town

Taste of the Town is an important fundraising event that nets about $45,000 a year which is raised for our philanthropies, including providing school clothing to needy children. Operation School Bell is our largest humanitarian program, which provides new school clothing for disadvantaged school children in our area. School Bell has an annual budget of $170,000. Last year, we provided new school clothing for 1,569 children.
Taste of the Town is set up and staffed by our volunteers, and local restaurants provide the food as an in-kind donation. Advance mailings for ticket sales, sponsorships, raffles of baskets/silent auction, in-kind donations of tickets and gift cards from local businesses and parks/museums, and opportunity drawings improve the overall funds that are raised.
