For the last 78 years, Texas Center for Arts + Academics has provided a premier education for kindergarten through twelfth grade students in Fort Worth. Our organization began in 1946 as the Texas Boys Choir to develop lifelong passions for music and choral artistry in young men. In the years since, the choir became an educational and performance institution, bringing performers around the world on tours, fostering qualities of camaraderie, teamwork, and encouraging academic discipline. Seeing the success of the choir and the personal development these opportunities brought the youth participants, the organization branched out into other choirs, theater, dance, and visual art forms to offer more options for youth across Tarrant County interested in art education. Today, Texas Center for Arts + Academics serves more than 1,000+ students between our two charter schools, Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts (FWAFA) and Texas School of the Arts (TeSA), with the mission to inspire and empower students with a lifelong passion for learning, academic achievement, and artistic excellence. We are reaching out to organizations who share our commitment to education and investment in our local community to join us as TCA+A Community Partners for 2024-2025, beginning with our highly anticipated Boots & Bow Ties Gala on August 24th!
