The Texas Center at Infectious Disease (TCID) in San Antonio, a public health hospital run by the Department of Health Services. TCID is the only freestanding tuberculosis (TB) facility in the United States, and treats a variety of patients from all around the world. TB treatment is often lengthy and complex, and requires a multifaceted approach. One of my roles through the Volunteer Services Council is to provide therapeutic opportunities for our patients through a variety of educational, social, and recreational activities. This event will allows patients to further explore the San Antonio community especially during the holiday season. Giving patients the opportunity to leave the hospital grounds will be help in increasing their morale, mental health, and affect. We hope you consdier supporting our patients and organization.
