Terp Thon is the a student-run philanthropy at the University of Maryland. Terp Thon spends the school year raising funds and awareness for Children's National Hospital in Washington D.C. with 100% of the funds donated to the patients and families at the hospital. Since our founding, Terp Thon has raised nearly $7 million dollars and and is the largest student-run philanthropy in the state of Maryland.

Our event is a 12-hour dance marathon where particpants and Children's National Hospital patients and their families attend to continue to spread awarenss about pediatric illnesses to our local community while raising funds and celebrating our year long hard work! Attendees learn more about our cause while interacting and celebrating our hard work with current or former patients at the hospital. Throughout the event, there are games, dancing, activites, sponsor recognition, donar stewardship and more!
