We are excited to have a great group of 22 youth and adults from 3 different churches in the rural Iowa towns of Greene and Allison participating in a week-long service to Houston this July. In Houston, we will be partnering with several local service organizations, including assisting in the ongoing relief efforts from 2017’s Hurricane Harvey. The trip also includes the opportunity for some educational experiences including visiting a Holocaust museum and the Houston Space Center.

To raise funds for our trip, we are hosting a Texas BBQ and Silent Auction fundraising event on Sunday, May 5, 2019, from 11:00-1:00 at St. Peter Lutheran Church. Our goal for this event is to raise $3,500, which will go towards the van rentals and travel costs to get us to Houston.

To make our Texas BBQ fundraiser a success, we are asking you to help us out by donating items, gift cards, or vouchers for our silent auction for supporters to bid on during the event. Financial contributions are also greatly appreciated!

Your contributions are tax deductible and a receipt will be provided. All items donated are greatly appreciated! Donated items will be displayed with your information attached to the 300+ attendees and prominently featured in our online publicity.
