Description

The Texas Public Safety Conference (501c3) is a conference for everyone working in the public safety industry. With three days of workshops and interactive sessions, our focus is to provide attendees with the tools, strategies, techniques, technology and know-how to create the ultimate member experience. The Texas Chapter of the National Emergency Number Association (TX NENA) and the Texas Chapter of the Association of Public Safety Communications Officials (TX APCO) host the conference and awards ceremony. TX APCO and TX NENA are member driven associations that provide technology, 9-1-1 policy, operations, educations, and leadership to the telecommunicators across the State of Texas. The safety of the citizens and communities they serve, as well as the safety of first responders, depends on Telecommunicators, radio technicians and information technology specialists.

As we celebrate those individuals who have made a difference in the profession and encourage all to participate in what has become the event of the year, we enjoy providing our conference attendees the opportunity to win prizes. Each year we host a silent auction that goes to The Sunshine fund and Juan Gomez Legacy fund. The Sunshine Fund through APCO provides financial assistance to the public safety communications professionals who experience a life=altering event that places a significant financial burden upon them or their immediate family. The Juan Gomez Legacy fund through NENA was established to provide financial assistance to any professional in the Public Safety Communications field with a qualifying even that affects their personal life or the life of an immediate family member.

We are asking for your assistance to provide donations to the attendees and the silent auction. Your contribution will help us provide an even better conference experience for these professionals that serve our communities.
