Every other year Acappellago holds a Recital/Silent Auction event as its major fundraiser. This biennial event features performances by its members as soloist, in ensembles and as instumentalists and is held in conjunction with a silent auction and raffle. The refreshments include hors d'oeuves and a sweet table along with a specialty cocktail courtesy of Quincy Styreet Distillery, Riverside, one of Chicagos formost craft distillers. A cash bar will also be available to guests 21+ with valid ID.

The proceeds from this event are used to help cover general operating cost, not covered by ticket sales, and to partially fund commissions of new music by contemporary composers, both local and international.

With the lost Revenew from the impact of COVID it takes on added importance.
